Coweta County Foster Parents' Association Inc.
Letter to all Coweta Foster Parents - 2007

Membership in the FPA is open to anyone interested in improving the
foster care system and enhancing the lives of children and families.
We welcome you to our Association and look forward to working together
on behalf of foster families and children.

The purposes for which the Association is formed are:
To bring together all the adoptive and foster parents, agency
representatives, and community people who wish to work together to
improve the foster care system and enhance the lives of all children and
families.

To promote mutual cooperation, coordination and communication among
adoptive parents, foster parents, foster parent associations, childcare
agencies and other child advocates.

To work in cooperation with public and private welfare agencies in
improving foster care services and adoption processes.

To encourage and promote the recruitment and retention of foster parents

To inform the membership and general public of current issues regarding
foster care.

Membership is renewed yearly for a fee of $15 per person (there is a
$5 rebate for those families who choose to also have a membership
with Callaway Gardens) your dues are tax deductible.

Support from experienced foster families

Monthly training to insure your required training hours are met each
year

Access to tickets thru the VSA arts program.  For more information

Invitations to sponsored events, such as a bowling night, A Place to
Play, a movie date, the annual Christmas Party

Access to grants we will be applying for on behalf of the children
Grants the Association will offer the children
