He is currently considering continuing his
education some time in the near future.
He is the also the proud father of a 17 yr
old boy who lives with him full time. His
hobbies include soccer, reading,
traveling, and music. He can also speak
five languages: English, Arabic, Italian,
French and southern…. I bet you cant
wait to hear his accent!

Bonnie Dejoie

Bonnie joined the team at Coweta county
DFCS Oct 18th, 04. She is a case
manager with approximately 20 kids on
her case load.  She Worked at  Alameda
county social services agency in Oakland
California for 21 year in foster care and
adoptions. Bonnie then worked on and
off for  6 yrs  in adult protective services.
She moved back to her family home in
Atlanta and began work with First
Placement Best Placement, but then
found an opportunity here in Coweta. Her
hobbies include, quilting, reading
mysteries,     zydeco dancing, traveling
and crocheting. She is divorced and the
mother of a 22 yr old son who still lives
out in CA. When asked if she had any
words of wisdom for 2005 she replied
“Keep a positive attitude.”

Amber Tidwell

Amber has been a case manager and
placement worker here at Coweta DFCS
beginning Jan 4th, 05. She moved to GA
from Missouri to be closer to her fiancé,
whom she met on a mission trip in Brazil.  
She received her undergraduate degree
in elementary education and her masters
in counseling from Missouri State
University. She  worked at the University
in the Department of College
Education/School Institute for      
Improvements. Her hobbies include
spending time at the beach, rock
climbing, and other   outdoors activities.
In the short time she has been here she
wants to express a true appreciation for
the positive attitude and participation
from the foster parents. A big thank-you
to all!
Introducing New Faces        
At DFCS
Debra Thompson   joined the team
Feb, 05.  She is replacing Mike Nolley as
the  Social Services Supervisor.  Debra
had been working at Carroll County
DFCS for almost 29 years as a
placement supervisor and then as a
program administrator. Goals for 2005 at
DFCS are to get to know all of the
caseworkers and foster parents.
Some of her hobbies include baking,
reading and spending time outside. She
is married and has 2 stepsons.  One
currently in college and the other is an
insurance broker who is soon to be
married. Debra says she looks   forward
to meeting all the foster parents and
working with then very soon! Words of    
wisdom for 2005… “Take time for
yourself so you can take care of others.”

Angelica Porter

Has joined the team here in Coweta after
transferring from Spalding CO DFCS
where she worked as a foster care
manager for 1 year.  She attended the
State University of West Georgia and
received a B.B.A. in information systems.
Angelica is a resident of Newnan; she is
married and the mother of a 3 yr old boy.
Some of her hobbies include playing the
saxophone and biking.

Connie Moore

Connie moved over to Coweta DFCS
from     Clayton County where she was a  
mental health case manager. She is
currently working as a contracted case
manager with the hopes of staying on
permanently. Connie has been married
for 22 yrs and has  2 children ages
range from  24 to 4 yrs old. What do you
say to that? WOW!
She received a BA in  Sociology and an
AA in criminal justice from Augusta
State      College.  Her hobbies include ,
reading and spending time    outside.

remember it’s not about you!”

Sam Eldakkak 770-254-7545
Sam’s first day in Coweta County DFCS
was Jan 1st, 05.  He is a social services
case manager and intake worker. He
worked in Troup County for 3 yrs doing
Medicaid eligibility for foster care and
adoptions. Sam was born in Egypt and
attended college there receiving a BA in
business.
WIC Reminder
Most foster children
under the age of five will
qualify for WIC.  WIC
provides specific age
appropriate food items.
(This includes baby
formula)
